STEP-BY-STEP TOOL-KIT TO ESTABLISH A SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

Here, you can find the step by step process and the toolkit to facilitate the creation and implementation of the Sustainability strategy of your school. You can use the resources following the step-by-step process, or going directly to the ones that you find more useful to build your strategy. 

STEP 1: PREPARE AND TRAIN THE SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT TEAM

We have created various resources to prepare the school staff involved in the creation of the School Sustainability Strategy.

If you want to know more on the issues related to sustainability at school level, read the Materiality Report and the Good Practices, and follow the Online course.

If you want to know how to create your Sustainability School strategy, you can read the Document to explain the Sustainability Strategy and focus on Module 3 of the E-learning.

STEP 2: CREATE AND IMPLEMENT YOUR STRATEGY

If you are here, you have appointed a Sustainability Manager and a team, or you are very close to creating these roles in your school.

Here you can find a set of resources to facilitate the creation and implementation of your strategy:

  • A powerpoint template to fill-in to create your Strategy and present it to colleagues and stakeholders 

  • A template to create your stakeholder maps

  • A sample of survey to analyse the needs of your school

  • A document and an Excel file explaining how to make the materiality assessment and identify your school needs

  • A check-list to verify if you completed all the steps 

  • Escape rooms and challenges to launch to implement your strategy and make your school on the move

We have created two monitoring tools to help you track your Sustainability Strategy.

STEP 4: TAKE INSPIRATION FROM OUR AMBASSADOR SCHOOLS

The model presented in this project has been tested with one Ambassador school for each partner country. Here you can find the stories of each school and the Sustainability strategies that they created and implemented!
